Student who plan to borrow a Federal Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Student Loan to help cover their educational costs must complete Entrance Loan Counseling before they can participate in the Direct Loan program. This online session familiarizes students with the terms and conditions of the program. In addition, it also details a student's legal rights and responsibilities as a federal loan borrower. This session should be completed through the Department of Education's Federal Direct Loan website at [studentloans.gov](https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action). St. Edward's will receive confirmation within 72 hours after you've completed this session online.
