Emailing to Alumni

University policy requires all mass email to alumni go through the advancement EMMA account.  Fill out the Advancement Work Request form. The process for building and sending an email takes approximately 7-14 business days depending on the list criteria, schedule of outgoing communications, and workload of the team.  Once submitted, a team member will contact you to provide a completion date.

If the campus partner has access to build emails in the advancement EMMA account, then fill out the Advancement Work Request with the alumni segment information.  The creation of an alumni segment can take between 2-4 business days depending on the complexity of the segment – This timeline only applies if the data needed for the segment is already part of the system, if the data to build the email is not in Emma and an external report is needed, then this process can take up to 2 weeks. In addition, the email will be reviewed for any needed edits or corrections once completed, so allow for at least 2-3 business days for review. The sooner you can let us know of a desired drop date for an email, the better we can work it into the work queue and try to deliver at the low end of the turnaround time.
