Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability
- For Faculty, Staff, Former Employee/Retiree
St. Edward's University provides Basic Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long Term Disability (LTD) Insurance to benefits-eligible staff and faculty employees.
Life insurance pays benefits if you die from most causes. AD&D benefits are paid if your death is accidental or if you are severely injured in an accident and suffer a loss specified in the policy, such as loss of a limb or eyesight.
In addition to the Basic Life and AD&D, you may purchase supplemental life insurance and AD&D for yourself and/or your dependents. Review the Benefits Guide for highlights or the tasks included in this task center for more detail and to access related documents.
